Case: Laser and plasma cutting
Laser and plasma cutting, as well as certain welding processes, generate large amounts of smoke, microparticles, and sticky dust, which place high demands on filtration solutions. Traditional filter materials such as nano-coated paper can often be challenged by the sticky dust, resulting in higher pressure losses, more frequent cleaning, and reduced filter life.
To address these challenges, an advanced ePTFE membrane filter was implemented in the extraction system at a manufacturer with intensive laser and plasma cutting operations.
Case: The right choice of materials for welding fume extraction
In many metalworking companies, effective extraction of welding fumes is crucial for both the working environment and operational safety. Traditionally, many plants have used filter cartridges made from paper-based media with nano-coating. These cartridges can meet the requirements for fine filtration, but often have limitations in terms of service life, regeneration capacity, and pressure loss over time.
To address these challenges, the customer implemented our new filter media based on a thin 100% bico polyester filter media with nano-coating – a material developed for smoke filtration rather than dust filtration, while delivering stable filtration performance throughout its service life.
